Qura'n

Revelation of Quran

  •  The word Quran means recitation and its verses are recited by Muslims throughout the world. The Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad in Ramadan, the holy month of the Islamic calendar, in the year 610CE. The Quran is Muslims' holy book, which is revealed to Prophet Muhammad in different steps over 23 years.

  • . The Quran emphasizes the oneness of Allah, the importance of faith, and the concept of monotheism. It outlines the purpose of human existence, which is to worship and obey Allah. The Quran provides guidance on moral values, such as honesty, justice, kindness, and compassion

FIQH

About Fiqh

Fiqh is an Arabic term that literally means "understanding" but is commonly used in Islamic contexts to refer to Islamic jurisprudence, or the human understanding and application of Shariah (Islamic law). Fiqh is derived from the Quran, the Sunnah (the teachings and practices of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him), Ijma (consensus of scholars), and Qiyas (analogical reasoning).

Why FIqh is crucial

 Guidance on Worship and Rituals

  • Fiqh offers detailed instructions on how to perform acts of worship, such as prayer (Salah), fasting (Sawm), almsgiving (Zakat), and pilgrimage (Hajj). These acts are fundamental aspects of a Muslim's faith and require proper understanding to be performed correctly.

  • It ensures that worship is carried out in a manner that aligns with the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah, thereby fostering a closer connection to God

 Regulating Daily Life

  • Fiqh extends beyond worship to cover all aspects of a Muslim’s daily life, including dietary laws, dress codes, social interactions, and financial transactions.
  • It provides clear guidelines on what is permissible (Halal) and what is prohibited (Haram), helping Muslims make ethical and moral choices in various situations.

 Social Harmony and Justice

  • Fiqh plays a vital role in promoting social harmony and justice. It outlines rights and responsibilities within various relationships, such as between spouses, parents and children, neighbors, and communities.
  • It offers legal rulings on issues related to family law, inheritance, contracts, and criminal justice, ensuring fairness and equity in social dealings.

 Promotes Spiritual Development

  • Understanding and practicing Fiqh is not just about following rules; it is also about spiritual growth. Fiqh encourages Muslims to live their lives with mindfulness of God (Taqwa) and to seek His pleasure in all their actions.
  • It integrates spiritual and worldly aspects of life, ensuring that Muslims remain conscious of their religious obligations while engaging in worldly activities.

 Education and Personal Development

  • Studying Fiqh is an educational endeavor that promotes critical thinking, reasoning, and a deeper understanding of Islam. It encourages Muslims to engage with their faith intellectually and to understand the wisdom behind Islamic rulings.
  • Learning Fiqh can also lead to personal development, as it encourages individuals to reflect on their actions and strive for personal betterment in line with Islamic teachings
